CBI joins to TAFISA
CBI was approved as a full member of TAFISA during the 26th TAFISA General Assembly held in Tokyo on the 15th of November 2019.
CBI President Mutlu Turkmen participated in the 26th TAFISA World Congress which hosted more than 600 international sports administrators and academics from about 70 countries. During the congress, many theoretical issues were brought into discussion in various sessions. Representatives from major world sports organizations, members of the organization committees of multi-sports events, renowned academicians in sports sciences, and directors of important sports companies came together to discuss primary issues such as legacy, healthy ageing, grassroots sports, innovation in sports etc. Turkmen presented a national case study from Turkey, the Bocce league of nursery homes which has been adopted since the last 3 years successfully.
Turkmen, being involved in the sport for all movement for more than 10 years as the foreign relations director of Turkish Sport for All Federation, had also chance to meet the president of TAFISA, Prof. Ju-ho Chang, the president of Japan SFA Federation, Prof. Yasuo Yamaguchi, and the director of the organization committee of the 7th TAFISA World Sport for All Games 2020 Lisbon, Dr. Jorge Carvalho.
Being a member of TAFISA, CBI will have chance to be represented in TAFISA Games and projects in the near future.
