Terni Hosts European Championship
European Bocce Championship was held in Terni, Italy, on 19-22 June 2024, with 15 teams in 5 disciplines: men's singles, women's singles women, mixed-doubles, men's precision-shooting, and women's precision-shooting.
In the championship, Italy, taking two gold medals, led to the table in front of Switzerland, San Marino, and Türkiye, which had one gold medal. The medal table for the nations is as follows: ITALY: 2 Gold, 2 Silver; SAN MARINO: 1 Gold, 1 Silver; SWITZERLAND: 1 Gold, 2 Bronze; TURKIYE: 1 Gold, 1 Bronze; SLOVAKIA: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze; CROATIA: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze; MALTA: 2 Bronze; SLOVENIA: 1 Bronze; AUSTRIA: 1 Bronze; NORTH CYPRUS: 1 Bronze.

Italian athlete Tommaso Gusmeroli scored 34 points in the men's precision shooting competitions, reaching a new world record.
The medals were presented by CBI President Dr Mutlu Turkmen, CER President Moreno Rosati, FIB President Marco Guinio De Sanctis, and the local authorities.
The teams/players taking the first seven rankings qualified for the World Bocce Championship, which will be hosted by Türkiye at the end of October.
