Algeria/Oran Hosted World Juniors
The World Juniors Bocce Raffa Championship was held in Oran, Algeria from 19 to 23 September 2023, simultaneously with the World Juniors and Espoirs Bocce Volo Championship.

Opening ceremony with 22 countries
There were 22 nations participating in two championships and 19 teams participated in Raffa World which represented the four continents. The teams gathered in the Palais des Sports for the opening ceremony.
The secretary general of the Algerian Ministry of Youth and Sports, the governor of Oran, the consul of Türkiye at Oran, the president of FIB, the president of CBI, and other local authorities were present at the opening ceremony. After the presentation of the 22 Raffa and Volo teams, the officials delivered their speeches. The ceremony ended with the spectacular shows of local music and dance groups.
Extended executive meeting
Italy dominated the results with 4 golds
Italian juniors managed to complete the challenge with 4 golds and 1 silver and a total of 338 points reaching first place in team ranking. The juniors of Paraguay also had great success having 1 gold and 2 silver medals completing the team ranking the second with 167 points. The Croatian team was ranked third with 1 gold and 1 silver medal with 128 points. Turkish team, having 2 silver and 3 bronze medals reached 109 points and was ranked fourth. Uruguay winning the gold in boys' precision shooting received 85 points and ranked fifth. The host country's team, Algerians also had a successful result winning 1 silver and 1 bronze medal with 71 points ranked sixth.
