CBI Commitment to Sport for All and Safeguarding (INTERACT, INTERACT+, and PCSOS)
With the entry into force of the new Statute in November 2022, the Confederazione Boccistica Internazionale (CBI) strengthened and accelerated its institutional commitment to Sport for All, inclusion, and Safeguarding in sport.
The updated statutory framework reinforces the role of bocce sports as an accessible and educational environment, promoting participation across all ages, genders, and abilities, while ensuring that sporting activities take place in safe, respectful, and protective environments, particularly for children and vulnerable participants.
To support this policy, CBI is actively participating in the development and deployment of three projects funded under the Erasmus+ Programme: INTERACT, INTERACT+, and PCSOS. These initiatives aim to develop practical tools, educational resources, and governance models to strengthen safeguarding systems and promote inclusive participation across the international bocce community.
Building on the outcomes of these projects, CBI is now supporting National Federations, local event organisers, and affiliated clubs in adopting these safeguarding and governance models. The objective is to facilitate structured implementation and compliance auditing processes, ensuring that safeguarding standards are effectively integrated into sport management and event organisation for the benefit of all participants.
