World Championship Kicks off With Spectacular Opening
The World Bocce Championship kicked off with a spectacular opening ceremony. Thirty-six teams representing all the regions of the world marched from the sports hall to the Kemer city centre, where the official ceremony was held.
After the official speeches by Kemer Governor Ahmet Solmaz, Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloglu, Youth and Sports Director of Antalya Yavuz Gurhan, and the President of CBI, Dr Mutlu Turkmen, the players and referees shared their oaths.
After the folk dance performances of the local groups, the opening ceremony was closed with the declaration of the CBI President, who officially announced the beginning of the World Championship.
The technical meeting and drawing of the groups took place after the opening ceremony.
