World Juniors Bocce Championship Concludes in Plaintel
The World Junior Bocce Championship 2025, held in Plaintel, France, from 28 October to 1 November 2025, concluded with remarkable performances from young athletes representing five continents. The event, organised under the auspices of the Confederazione Boccistica Internazionale (CBI) and hosted by the French Boules Sports Federation (FFSB) and the Plaintel Bocce Club, gathered 22 federations from 21 nations in a celebration of precision, strategy, and fair play.

A Ceremony of Unity and Recognition
The medal ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr Vincent Alleno, Mayor of Plaintel; Mr Bernard Daubard, President of the FFSB; Mr Eddy Rouault, President of the Plaintel Bocce Club; and Dr Mutlu Türkmen, President of CBI. They were joined by the members of the CBI Executive Committee, who collectively delivered the medals to the young champions. It was a great joy for the local spectators to welcome the gold medalist, French Lorenzo Rouault, who won the gold medal in the single boys' event, achieving a historic result.
During the ceremony, CBI President Dr Türkmen and CBI Vice President Mr Moreno Rosati presented special plaques to the referees and competition directors, acknowledging their voluntary efforts and professionalism throughout the championship. In his closing speech, Dr Türkmen expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Plaintel Municipality, FFSB, and the Plaintel Bocce Club for hosting such a memorable event. He personally presented commemorative gifts to Mayor Alleno, President Daubard, and Club President Rouault as a gesture of gratitude and friendship.
Celebrating the Spirit of Youth and Bocce
This edition of the World Junior Bocce Championship marked a milestone in the history of youth bocce, highlighting the sport’s growing global presence and the strong spirit of solidarity among nations, which was hosted by one of the leading sports nations of the Boules sports disciplines. The event once again demonstrated the CBI’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and promoting bocce as a sport of precision, respect, and excellence.
